Course Description
Course Design and alterations: Tom Morris The New St Andrews Golf Course is in fact far from New. St Andrews New Course designed by Old Tom Morris in April 1895, the course lies next to the Old Course and was constructed due to the heavy demand golf in St Andrews area. This classic links layout is often rated amongst Scotland’s best golf courses. Accuracy is in greater demand here than on the Old Course as many fairways are lined with thick rough and gorse. The course has over 60 bunkers and requires great accuracy all around. The St Andrews New Course, as do The Old, features shared fairways and a double green. |
